Brach's Peanut Butter Cup Candy Corn!

I'm not a fan of candy corn. It's not that I actively dislike it, but it's never my first choice of candy. It's just the wrong kind of sweet, and it has that weird waxy texture. I have a hard time with any softer candies that don't actually melt in your mouth. And when they finally melt, they don't get smooth and liquid. No, they fall apart in soft chunks, like a zombie that's been in the water for too long. Imagine my surprise,  then, when I saw that Brach's had discovered my one weakness, and combined it with their waxy Halloween candies.

Entenmann's Pumpkin Donuts

It's not officially Fall yet, but that hasn't stopped everyone from declaring that the Halloween season has begun. As much as I hate when stores jump the gun on putting out seasonal merchandise, I have to admit that I've gotten a little caught up in the Fall fever. I kept seeing pictures of the goodies that all of you have been finding on your shopping trips, and I have to admit I was getting a little frustrated by the lack of Halloween-ish product up in here. Well, my local stores are starting to catch up, so I'll be able to start showcasing my favorite finds. This time, I'm having a peek at Entenmann's Pumpkin Donuts.

5 Things I want from PropStore.com

I've spent the past three days trying to get this post done. Hopefully you're reading this on my blog page. If it hasn't posted and you're still reading this, get from behind my chair. It's not nice to sneak up on people.

This is going to sound like an ad for Propstore.com, but I promise you, I'm not making any money from this. That's not to say I wouldn't like to have a few bucks thrown my way. I just want everyone to know that wasn't the motivation behind this post.

Up until tonight, I'd never heard of Prop Store. My mom, of all people, sent me a link to one of their auctions, which led to me spending the last 5 hours browsing movie props and memorabilia. Some of the items are crazy spendy, which I expected. Still, I was able to find some deals hiding on there. So, without any further delay, here's my shopping list from the Prop Store.

Tastykake Kandy Kakes Summer Flavors!

I know summer is almost over, but I've wanted to mention these ever since I saw them back in July. So, put down the pumpkin spice flavored whatever, and stick around for a couple of paragraphs.

My dangerous childhood: Air rifles

I used to be into guns. I mean, really into guns. My first exposure to firearms came in the form of BB guns and pellet rifles in my youth.  I still remember how cool it felt to hold my first air rifle, a multi-pump Crosman. With that plastic and steel rifle in my hands, I had no fear. I had fantasies of repelling robbers with my trusty BB gun before I ever saw A Christmas Story. I even kept it beside my bed at night, you know, just in case. I must have fired tens of thousands of shiny little BB's at anything that fell in front of my sights. Cans, soda bottles, action figures, nothing was safe from my wrath. Then one day, my friends and got bored shooting at inanimate objects, and decided to start shooting at each other.

Who ya gonna call? The Real Ghostbusters Egon!

The Real Ghostbusters toys caught me completely by surprise. One Saturday morning, I walked down the toy aisle in Rose's and there they were. Peter, Ray, Egon, Winston and Stay Puft were all hanging there on the shelves, just waiting to go home with me. After a few moments of indecision, I decided to go with my favorite Ghostbuster, Egon.

Doritos and Cheetos want to burn off your face.

I'm not sure what the world did to Frito Lay, but they've decided to make it their mission to melt all of our faces, and they've enlisted the aid of Chester Cheetah.
