It's a major award!

Psst, I don't know if you all heard, but I won a contest. Yeah, it's sort of a big deal..

Okay, so it's not like I had to do anything. The Toy Box, along with several of our fellow toy bloggers put together an awesome prize pack for one lucky person. All we had to do was visit and leave a comment to be entered into the drawing. Praised be Cthuthlu, I was the lucky person! It's been a long time since I've shouted and jumped up and down for joy, but that's exactly what I did when I checked back in last Wednesday and saw that my name had been drawn. The only thing I love more than getting stuff in the mail, is getting free stuff in the mail. After waiting patiently for a couple of days (and contemplating storming the postal distribution center in order to get my package a little earlier) a large box mysteriously appeared on my porch. I quickly took it inside, ripped it open, and checked out the contents. Woo boy, I hit the jackpot.

It's quite an eclectic mix, just the thing for a non-collector such as myself. Let's have a little bit of a closer look shall we?

Voltron T-Shirt

Okay, so this one might be passed along to Chelsea, but only because I got one with last month's Loot Crate. It's an awesome shirt, and I just love the line drawing of Voltron. He's been one of my favorite giant robots since I could pronounce his name. I still remember how jealous I was when one of my classmates brought in a couple of his lions for show and tell one day. I eventually got my own Voltron, the smaller non-transforming one, but it just wasn't the same.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bebop and Rocksteady (X2)

Aw yeah! Two more figures from my current favorite toyline. The only sad thing is that I don't have Nickelodeon, so I haven't been able to see their cartoon counterparts in action. I've loved the few episodes that I've been able to catch though. This covers both of the variations I've seen in these guys. They're pretty cool updates to both characters. It's just a shame Playmates doesn't include many accessories with this line. Though, I'm pretty sure the original weapons fit in their hands just fine..hmm.

Scud: The Disposable Assassin: The Whole Shebang!
(Sexy) Alice in Wonderland

Scud is one of those series that I always read about in Wizard, but wasn't carried on my local comic racks. So, I ended up missing out on the exploits of the plastic, self-destructive hitman. Not anymore! Now I have the complete series, from start to finish. I'm really eager to start reading through that one.

Alice in Wonderland appears to be a rather dark retelling of the original story. I haven't cracked this one open yet either, but if the cover is any indication, I'm probably going to enjoy it.

Funko Pop! Red Hulk Bobblehead

I have to admit, there are two things I never got the draw of: Funko Pop figures and bobbleheads. After getting a good look at lil Red Hulk here, I find that I've changed my mind. This little guy is awesome. I don't follow newer comics, so I have no idea who the Red Hulk is, but I'm just digging the look of this figure. He will soon have a place of honor on my desk. Whenever I get mad, I'll just tap his head and let him bobble my anger away.

Richie Rich Old Timer Car

I actually remember seeing these cars hanging on the pegs in one of the local drug stores. It was usually next to a Richie Rich Play Money set. I never ended up with one, mainly because drug store prices are always way too high. I think they may have been asking for $3 for these cars, when you could get a Hot Wheels or Matchbox everywhere else for $.75. It's definitely a stylish ride, and I wouldn't mind having a real one to take for a cruise on our country back roads. Preferably with someone else in the driver's seat. And a trunk full of money.

Lego Movie Batman Lenticular Cup

The Lego Movie was one of my favorite films last year, and Lego Batman was a fun interpretation of the character. Now I get to drink from a cup containing his visage. The only way it could be improved is the image was a hologram. This will come in handy for holding my favorite beverages for all those snack cake and cookie posts.

Transformers Universe Powerglide

Whoa, that is one big Transformer. I haven't had a larger Transformer since Powermaster Optimus Prime, and certainly not one of the newer ones. The best part is that he has electronic lights and sounds, so not only do I get an action figure, I get a means of annoying Chelsea too! Definitely keep your eyes open for a more in-depth post about this guy.

Chap Mei Sailfish

Tis a beautiful fish indeed. If there's one thing I love about Chap Mei toys, it's that they are extremely detailed for their price. This fish is no different. Sadly, as soon as Chelsea saw it, she snatched it up and claimed him as hers. It's probably for the best, seeing as how she's a marine biologist and all. Any time I've had fish as pets, it's never ended well for the fish.

And that's that! Quite the haul, if I say so myself. Again, I'd love to give thanks to everyone that contributed to the prize pack:

Action Figure Barbecue

Cool and Collected

The Harvey Mercheum

Toyriffic

And of course, thanks to The Toy Box for hosting the contest. If you don't already, you should visit,  follow,or join these guys' blogs.

  7. A record shows that the number of people showing interest towards films is reducing these days and this is because of the long hours, they will have to spend hours together for watching them.free movies online
