Happy Easter from Stunt Zombie!

The past four months have been rather eventful, and I'm glad to say things are starting to slow down a bit. After much aggravation,  I am now half owner of a home. Frankly, it scares the hell out of me, but I think just because I buy a toy on occasion doesn't mean I'm not a big boy now. I will say, I do not recommend using Wells Fargo for anything. I wouldn't even go there to cash a check after the crap they put us through.

The wedding seems to be coming together rather smoothly, a little too smoothly if you ask me. It's almost tempting to push up the date to this year, but I'm not the type of person to spit in Fate's eye then run away.

I had something special planned for the Easter holiday, but work and life in general pushed it back. Hopefully I can pull it off sometime this week. I hope so, since I think it will be a lot of fun.

Speaking of this week, my next post goes up on Doomkick this coming Wednesday. This one actually required me to go back in time 30 years, so I'd greatly appreciate it if you go and check it out. That time traveling ain't easy.

Bob is still around, though he's been taking it easy lately. I could never replace my favorite zombie, though I think a makeover might just be in his future.

I decided to finally join the modern world and get a smartphone. I've spoken against them for years now, mainly due to their ridiculously high plan costs, but I found a deal I just couldn't resist. Besides, this means I'll also be upgrading from my very worn out. I'll finally have the means to post photos on my rather barren Instagram feed, as well as have a platform where I can more easily use Twitter. Yey.

So that's what's been going on in the lair of the Stunt Zombie. Stay tuned for a couple more posts this coming week. Until then, Happy Easter everyone!

Hey, isn't that...

This week’s assignment from the League: Hey, isn’t that…

I live in a rather small and secluded area, but I can think of at least one occasion that I've seen a celebrity out and about. Chelsea and I were driving back to her apartment, and we were stopped at a stop light. I was looking around as I usually do when we're stopped, when my gaze fell on the driver in the car next to us. Is couldn't be..but I'm pretty sure it was...R. Lee Ermey. That's right, Gunnery Sergeant Hartman himself. I waved at him, trying to get his attention, but the man was focused on the road ahead, and never even glanced in my direction. Chelsea told me I was crazy, that it couldn't possibly be him, and I almost agreed with her. Then he pulled ahead of us, and I saw the numerous Marine Corps stickers adorning the back of his red Ford Escape.

I still swear I saw Leonardo Dicaprio in a Virginia Beach Barnes and Noble. I wasn't wearing my glasses, because I was waiting for Lenscrafters to finish making them, but I'm almost certain it was him. Being the shy teenager that I was, I didn't have to guts to actually go up and ask him though.

I've actually had several people confuse me for someone else. When I used to work on a charter fishing boat, one guy thought I was his brother. He and his wife were trying to figure out what in the world I was doing there, before they realized I was someone else. My mom was even fooled by a guy that was working as a waiter at one of the local restaurants. The next day she called me and asked how long I had been working there, and why I hadn't told her. I used to say I had a bunch of clones running around, maybe I wasn't joking around...

Over the years I've heard there is a slight resemblance between me and Dustin Diamond. You know, Screech, from Saved By The Bell.

Personally, I don't see it..

Boba goes exploring!

I had a few minutes to spare after I finished up at work yesterday, so I took a few shots of Boba Fett exploring behind our facility. I hope you enjoy them.

You talkin' to me?

Of all the times for the jet pack to run out of fuel.

This is going to be a long swim....

'Tis a lucky dog indeed.

On March 16 of this year, the town of Onancock held their first ever St. Patrick's Day parade. Since Chelsea's company was walking in the parade, that meant our dog, Kirby, was walking as well. So, on the day of the festivities, he got a little paint job...

He seemed a little confused by the whole thing, and had a puzzled look on his face for most of the day. Of course, when it was time to start walking and showing off, he was in the zone.

He actually did well considering all the noise and distractions. There were a bunch of other dogs around, and I know he was just going nuts wanting to meet them all. Kirby stayed focused, and led the Eastern Shore Animal Hospital to a first place trophy in the walking division.

Sometimes I wonder who was luckier, Kirby for getting adopted days before he was going to enter the "Big Sleep", or Chelsea and I, for finding the greatest dog in the world. I'm thinking we were the lucky ones.

That's right, I'm talking about you, you sly little dog.
